The Role

We are looking for a cabinet designer to lead our cabinetry program from first concept to final install. You will design high-end kitchens, baths, and whole-home millwork for luxury residential and select commercial projects in a variety of designs and aesthetics. You will be the cabinetry expert that our clients, trade partners, and team rely on. This role calls for a designer who can take on complex architectural projects confidently, turn a vision into precise specifications, and elevate every space they touch. 

What You'll Do

• Produce cabinetry design for custom homes and renovations, from consultation through installation.
• Partner with architects, designers, builders, and homeowners to turn design into buildable solutions.
• Produce accurate, production-ready drawings: floor plans, elevations, sections, and detailed shop-level specifications. 
• Specify door styles, finishes, hardware, interior organization, and integrated appliance solutions across premium product lines.
• Review architectural plans and resolve dimensional, clearance, and coordination issues before they reach the job site. 
• Own order accuracy from quote to delivery, including pricing, order entry, change management, and vendor communication.
• Conduct site measures and job-site reviews to confirm conditions and support installation teams.
• Present design concepts and 3D renderings to clients with clarity and confidence.
• Collaborate with our surfaces, furnishings, and fixtures specialists to deliver fully integrated spaces.
• Represent DWELL44 at showroom events, trade gatherings, and industry partner meetings.

What You Bring

• 2+ years of cabinet or kitchen and bath design experience, with a strong portfolio of high-end residential work.
• Experience with modern and frameless construction, full-overlay and inset details, and custom millwork.
• Proficiency in 2020 Design, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Chief Architect, or comparable design and rendering software.
• Expert knowledge of materials, finishes, hardware systems, and appliance integration.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and construction drawings with precision.
• A proven record of managing multiple complex projects with exceptional accuracy.
• Polished communication skills with both trade professionals and discerning homeowners.
• A genuine passion for modern design and a sharp eye for proportion, detail, and craft.
